“Shikamaru, how dare you!” Yoshino bellowed furiously, red with anger.
Shikamaru jolted up in his bed, eyes wide in horror as he woke from the nightmare. But, this nightmare was all too realistic, and too often recurring.
Shikamaru could deal with nightmares involving crazy monsters and mad scientists. In fact, he would have preferred it that way.
Shikamaru heaved a sigh and ran a hand through his disheveled hair, “Why can’t my real life problems stay out of my dreams?” he murmured frustratedly while mulling over the idea- the very thought- of telling his mother- let alone anyone- that he was dating Hidan. Hidan.
Shikamaru heaved another sigh as he hauled himself out of bed.
“You’re more trouble that you’re worth.” The Nara said as he moved in front of his mirror and went about fixing his bed-head. A blush dusted over his cheeks as the thought lingered in his mind.

Instructions and Details:

Theme: Shikamaru has been hiding that he's been dating Hidan, but now he decides to confess his secret relationship to his friends and family with varying reactions.
Media: Fanart, fan comic/doujin, or fanfiction. Only one entry per participant.
How to Participate: comment in this entry with first a number between 1 and 8 (this will determine what person Shikamaru will be confessing to in your entry), and then a number between 1 and 15 (this will determine that person's reaction to Shikamaru's confession.) I will then note you with your person and reaction. Please keep the information I note you secret until you post your entry.
Deadline:

March 28th at 11:59pm U.S. Central time. Submit your entry into the "Current Contests" folder.

Contest Rules:

1. Must be a member of the group. If you're not already a member, you can join if you want to participate
2. The entry MUST feature Shikamaru AND the person you drew from the number set, as well as the reaction you drew from the second number set. You may add Hidan if you desire, no OCs however. If you do not like the person or the reaction you drew, you are allowed one redraw.
3. Art must be brand new and only for this contest. State in your artist's comment that your entry is for this group's contest.
4. Fanart can be any medium (traditional or digital). All fan comics/doujinshi are limited to one page max. All fanfics are limited to a 5,000 word maximum.
5. All entries must be rated K-T, no mature content, because every member must be able to view the entry so they are able to vote.
6. Absolutely NO STOLEN ART! If you are found to be an art thief you will be disqualified and blocked from the group.

Voting Rules:

1. Voting will take place through a poll.
2. Only members of the group are allowed to vote.
3. Entrants may vote, but not for themselves.
4. Voters are asked to make their votes based on artistic skills and creativity, not just because an entrant is their friend or an admired artist. We want the best, most hard workers to win.
5. Entrants are barred from recruiting voters, both inside and outside of the group. Entrants found to be doing so will be disqualified from the contest.
6. The top three voted entries will win first, second, and third place. The fourth place winner will get an honorable mention.
